Shadows At Dusk by Elizabeth Goddard

I love reading about Alaska and strong leading women! Shadows at Dusk was another great thriller of a read with unexpected twists, light romance and lots of adventure. Carrie has settled into her life in Alaska a decade after a terrible event injured and almost killed her. Detective Trevor West is looking for his missing sister and the trail has led to Alaska with a recommendation to one of the best bush pilots, Carrie James. But Carrie doesn’t have time, getting ready to leave for a ten day vacation back state side, she can’t take on this request but yet God has other plans for her and a deal is struck between the two. Trevor needs Carrie’s help just as bad as she now needs his after the death of one of her closest friends. The two have to work together to untangle the web that has been spun around them, and the past may just have the answer they need to figure it all out. Loved this one! Lots of action.

Thank you to the author and publisher for the free arc and allowing me to be a part of the launch team! This review is of my own opinion and accord.

Montana Detective Trevor West is desperate to learn what happened to his sister, who went missing in Alaska over a year ago, leaving nothing but a few photographs as clues to her whereabouts. At the advice of Police Chief Autumn Long, Trevor enlists the help of an experienced bush pilot. If Carrie James can’t help him find the places in the photographs, no one can.

But Carrie has her own agenda. Grieving the death of her closest friend and the only person she could trust, Carrie will help Trevor find his sister on one condition–that he help her track down her friend’s killer.

As the two close in on the answers they crave, they’ll face dangers and connections they could not have imagined. They’ll have to learn to trust one another–and face the dark secrets of the past–if they are ever to discover the truth and bring a killer to justice.
