Unforgiven by Shelley Shepard Grey

This was a good heartfelt read and I also love the cover! Tabitha has been ostracized by her Amish community even though her life was in danger. She has feared for her life the last few years and has gotten used to being alone. Her sister helps drop off groceries for her and Seth has been helping with minor things outside her home. Seth also one who has been looked down upon by his community knows who he really is and has learned to mostly ignore the rumors about him. He does what he can to help those in need and that includes Tabitha. She gets up the courage to approach Seth one of the times he is outside doing stuff, she has always wondered why? Why does he take time to help her when everyone else has nothing good to say about her? When her life once again is in danger, Tabitha realizes that maybe shutting herself away from everyone wasn’t the best decision. When her life is once again in danger, she asks for help from a neighbor in hopes they will help her no matter what the community thinks. Once again she is in a life or death situation and the truth of what happened in her past and who her ex-husband really was and is, is finally seen by others.

I really enjoyed this novel about not judging someone by their past or decisions, as often we don’t have all of the information. I loved all the various characters and storyline of this novel. It flowed and read so well. It was a good heartfelt read with a little suspense.

Thank you to the author and the Revell Blogger Program for the complementary novel. This review is of my own opinion and accord.

Ex-con Seth Zimmerman has spent the last three years making amends by helping the vulnerable in his former Amish community. Lately, this mission includes calling on Tabitha Yoder, whose divorce from her abusive husband has isolated her from the community. Even though she never comes out of her house to talk to him, Seth knows she watches him from the window while he chops wood, clears her driveway, and drops off food.   An uneasy friendship is just starting to take hold between them when small gifts begin to appear at Tabitha’s home–gifts that can only be from her ex-husband. Seth might be Tabitha’s only hope at maintaining her hard-won freedom from the man whose violent outbursts had almost cost her life. But coming to her rescue might mean he ends up behind bars once again.   Get swept up in this emotional story of two outcasts who may be each other’s only hope for happiness and redemption from New York Times bestselling author Shelley Shepard Gray.
