This was an interesting read! Rembrandt, Musketeers, lost and stolen art, and the Nazi’s. I loved the dual storyline of this novel, told from the family in 1641 when a valuable painting has been stolen and then 1945 when it has been unearthed and the mystery of finding out the truth of what it is and where it came from while keeping it under wraps from the Nazi’s so it does not get destroyed or stolen again. But not everyone can keep secrets and soon Soli and her friends are risking their lives to uncover who has taken this once again, and how to get it back before it gets into the wrong hands. A great historical read that was a different aspect of WWII. Thank you to JustReads for the invite and to the author for the free novel.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
