Fallen by Linda Castillo (Kate Burkholder #13)

Another great Detective Kate Burkholder novel! I don’t think I can pick a favorite, as they are all different and have their own storylines. I just love how Linda writes and I always feel like I’m riding along, right next to Detective Burkholder in these novels.

Kate gets a call that a body has been found at the local, run down seedy motel. A dead body, female and the scene is brutal- there is not question that it was a murder. This poor woman fought for her life, and paid for her life and just as Kate gets her bearings, she finds out that she this one is going to hit close to home. She knows this woman, she left the Amish years ago and now is found murdered in her home town…..

As in Linda Castillo fashion, things are far from how they appear and the killer never wants to be found out. Many twists and turns, and once again Kate is pushed to her limits in trying to think like the killer and track down leads that will give her answers. Thank you to Goodreads and Minotaur for the free arc.
